Erik, LOVE your bike. Was woundering if you could share a few details such as the size of your rear tire, do you have a lowering kit on the bike, and what year is it. I've been looking at different kits/bikes for a while, and by far, yours looks the best. Big front and rear tire, the more black, the better. Also, did you do a lot of sanding down of chrome parts, then re-painting black yourself or did you have all those black parts done at a body shop?

yes I sanded down all chrome parts such as headlight, side and engine covers. Make sure you use krylon grey primer about 3 coats and 20 minutes in between each coat then blast it with krylon "SATIN BLACK" or "Semi-Gloss" about a $20 dollar paint Job but look at my quality on the tank. Best regards ERIK

I came to this website, then forum in re-searching bobbers. I am coming off two Kawasaki's, a ZX-7R and more recently, a ZX-10R (Hence the forum name, Convert). I am currently searching for a 2004-2006 V-Star 1100 to begin working on (probably using Erik's as a model). I will be posting before, through and after pictures of my build as soon as I begin. However I haven't been on an 1100 yet. Just looking for a little feedback on if this should be powerful enough for me. It may help to know that I got rid of the ZX-10 because it was just a little too fast. I want to slow down, stretch out, and enjoy the ride. I very well may be posting more questions when I get into the build. Thanks in advance for the help and thanks for posting the info on your bike Erik.

ok, honestly your bike is sick!!! I first saw it about a month ago and have loved it so much that I have added one of the pics you posted as my wallpaper on my phone. But now I am a little pissed off...you had to go and make it look so Flippin Good by adding the red paint and the fender, with all the other updates. I thouhgt my bike was going to be an easy and inexpensive way to have a look good. Now I see yours and it looks Phenomenal!!! Great Job!
Ok now that I'm done slobbering over your bike, I have a few questions for you.
I love love love the tire you have on the bike but I was wanting something with a little lower profile. Any ideas? I was looking at a Metzeler ME880 Cruiser 200/70HB-15 Rear...Not sure if this will fit. What are your thoughts?
Also, did you buy a new exaust or just cut off the ends of the origanal?
