WHAT’S A BLUE COLLAR BOBBER BOLT ON KIT?

It’s simply a fast, easy and fun way to totally change your bike into an old school, nostalgic hot rod. We build economical, high quality kits that just about anyone can install. Our kits help you change the rear fender (front fender on some bikes), seat, license, lights, handlebars (optional). For that extra WOW factor you can add exhaust wrap and powder coat your stock rims. That’s it! Every part is designed for the specific motorcycle. Our installation videos are located right above all individual kits, laid out with prices. Just click on the three horizontal bars at the top of the video to see a playlist of each individual video.

Our kits are complete right down to the nuts and bolts. Check out our gallery and customer bikes. You will see an interesting assortment of bikes; some have done custom paint and some have just painted the rear fender to match their stock tanks. Either way it’s quite a transition from the original motorcycle. At Blue Collar Bobbers we don’t add chrome, saddlebags or windshields – we subtract everything that isn’t necessary, flatten our paint, shorten our fenders and stripe our tanks. We jump on our lean, mean kick-ass machines and ride off into the sunset with our comrades!

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS HAVE TO SAY:

For any newbie or even experienced riders.  I can’t say enough good things about the product offered by Blue Collar Bobbers.  Not only the product but the customer service far exceeded my expectations.

To give a little bit of background about myself.  I’m a C.P.A., I work with numbers all day and not mechanically inclined.   I took up motorcycling during the Pandemic so I can get out of my home.  Being a new rider, I bought a used Suzuki TU250x.  I wanted to modify it, so I did some research and found the Blue Collar Bobber kit.

To anyone that is non-mechanical, similar to John Sutherland in the book, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, BCB kit will make you feel like Phaedrus.  The BCB kit is made with great quality with attention to detail, and in my opinion reasonably priced.   The YouTube videos provided by Blue Collar Bobbers are easy to follow.  BCB has opened up a whole new world for me.

Dear BCB,
I seldom write reviews. Most of the things I buy really aren’t worth reviewing. Quality is off, parts are missing, packaging is poor, customer service is difficult.
You folks at BCB are a definite exception, floating above a sea of mediocrity.

  1. Your Suzuki TU250X café kit arrived superbly packaged. Each section in heavy gauge stabled vinyl, all parts present and accounted for and each section clearly marked for its intended purpose.
  2. The metal plates for the inner fender, seat and tail assembly support are all very nice, heavy gauge steel, attractively powder-coated to a durable luster.
  3. The lighting assemblies are attractive and the inclusion of spare bulbs and lenses was a nice thought.
  4. The online videos are a lot of fun, easy to follow and enjoyably narrated. (Who IS that narrator?) I’d bring the laptop out to the garage, follow along with the video and pause and proceed as I advanced through the procedures. I really appreciated the clear help with the electrics and, surprise, they all worked perfectly once assembled and connected.
  5. The seat really is comfy and attractive.

I’m about winding up on the conversion and thought I’d send you this photo I took this morning. My wife, not a motorcycle lover herself, but appreciative of my aficionado status, told me this morning, “You know, that’s a really cute little café racer.”

Thanks much, BCB. Great product all around. Only one question: If the electronic tail/brake light ever fails, where would I find a replacement?

Best,

Hello my name is Mathew Futch I am contacting you on behalf of Earl’s Auto Craft. I just wanted to send you an email on how pleased I was with the company. I am very impressed with the whole experience. To start off the website is very user friendly. It was very easy to navigate for each make and model. The second thing was my order was processed very quickly. Thirdly when I received the order it was very well boxed and packaged. Fourth when I was taking my parts out of the bags it was very simple to understand what to use and do. The instructions on paper and the videos online were very easy to follow. I also wanted to thank you guys for going above and beyond on the order. My leather seat came with waterproof cream. I was also very pleased because everything I needed on the project was in the box. I also love the hat that was sent! In the end I wanted to send you email and thank you guys! From owning a business I know that people are quick to send you emails and review when the order was bad but do not take the time to compliment someone when they do a outstanding job. Thank you guys again I will definitely be ordering from you guys again with all my bobber needs!

If you’re considering going with the bobber look definitely get the kits from BCB! Their quality of their products are amazing. Their instuctional videos make it super easy to install. Even you aren’t the most mechanically inclined person you will have no issues converting your bike to a bobber with their kits! And if you ever have any questions or need some help with their kits their customer service is outstanding! I just finished up my bike and it turned out amazing! Thank you so much BCB!!

Great bunch of folks over there at BCB. They accidentally sent me a wrong part in my kit, and they immediately called me back, and have made it right, and then some. They have gone way over the top to make me satisfied.!! I can’t say enough about the quality of customer service this guys bring to the table..!!!!

I recently purchased a honda rebel purely to create a great looking bobber for my short commute to work. So far I have only ordered and installed the drag bars and exhaust kit. Instructions were spot on and the products and ease of installation was on point! I will be purchasing the rest of the parts offered for this bike this upcoming winter! Being from Ohio and quite far from Blue collar bobbers in Utah, I wanted to call and speak to the people behind the scenes of this great business. Very friendly and extremely helpful. Felt like dealing with family. Top notch!!

Best customer service in town. They also support veterans by giving them a discount.

Placed an order and then wanted to add something to only to find out it was already shipped ( less then 1 day btw) so I called them and they gave me the same veterans discount and free shipping. What great service !

Thank you Blue Collar Bobbers !<

98 Kawasaki Vulcan 800…..I have never worked on anything with an engine (of any kind), I purchased your bobber kit and what a difference….The tutorial video was absolutely simple to follow, and I had a blast getting my hands dirty and pretending I knew what I was doing……I could have never made this happen without your video (provided with the kit) and now I have people asking me questions about my cycle all the time….I had so much fun with this bike, and the process of revitalizing it to my liking–I can’t wait to do another cycle build…..Blue Collar Bobbers, you truly provide a service that no else does. Many people (non-mechanical people) wish to build and/or customize a motorcycle and you make it a possibility. Thank you!!!

To The Team,

…This past Spring, 2017, I ordered a 13 inch springer seat, the rear lights and license plate /brake light combo. Not only were they expertly made, but the customer service was fantastic! I asked, prior to my order, if I could order the rear light kit, nickel turn signals, with the ’29 brake light and was surprised to find that my email was replied to within 24hrs… and the answer was YES!

Now, this won’t be the last order I place with you for my Shadow, because I need the rear fender I discovered after riding through a puddle haha, but I also have plans for other projects; I recently purchased a Suzuki s40 I’m eager to convert. In addition to this, I am a fully dedicated promoter of Blue Collar Bobbers. I tell everyone with pride where I purchased my gear. How well satisfied I am with the products. And that they are MADE IN THE U.S.A..

Ultimately, I am thankful for having found you all. The YouTube videos were an excellent preview of what you offer and helped to reel me in, but while it couldn’t tell me about how the customer experience was I quickly learned that it’s fantastic! I guess I’m rambling, but please tell everyone at Blue Collar Bobber how proud I am of what you have given me and what you do…

With great respect,
-Michael

Hello,
I would like to thank Lance and all the other people who work for BCB. A couple of years ago we built a Honda Rebel using the KITS from BCB and the bike came out great. My wife and I take turns driving it. Recently we had a minor problem with the rear turn signal bulbs. I contacted Lance at BCB and he told me he would be glad to help me correct the problem. Within a couple of days I had the replacement parts and the problem was fixed. Lance went way beyond what I had expected, with his speedy service and quick shipping of the parts I needed. We so much appreciate the considerations and when we start to another bike build we will most certainly do business with BCB first. Thanks BCB its been a pleasure doing business with you.

To Lance and everyone at Blue Collar Bobbers,

Thank you all for helping me to transform my bike into something special. After admiring several of the kits you offer, I committed to taking on a project myself. Not too confident in my abilities, I decided my first attempt will be one that requires the least modification.

Thus my selection of your latest kit, the VTX 1300C, which already comes stock with a drag bar and a minimal front fender, neither of which have to be replaced to achieve the bobber look. So I searched for a black bike (because you offer your rear fender in gloss black) that already had aftermarket pipes suitable for a bobber. Lo and behold, there are lots of them out there. Pretty cheap too. I bought one in such nice shape that the thought of keeping it as-is crossed my mind. But inspired again by the pictures on your website I ordered my kits to elevate my newest ride.

I got started the evening my kit arrived doing the fender prep. The next morning I began work on the bike around 10 AM, and by 2 PM I had removed the stock fender, cut the frame and installed the seat kit and rear fender kit. That evening I did the prep work on the wiring for the front and rear lights, following the video instructions and directions provided. The next morning I started at 8:30 AM installing the light kits, and by noon, my bike was done! When you say this can be done in a weekend, you aren’t exaggerating.

May I say that everything is top notch. The quality of each part is exceptional, and everything fits perfectly. Particularly the seat, which is a work of art, and so comfortable. Lance’s videos were clear and easy to follow. Watching them many times in advance increased my confidence, and made the project go smoothly.

Bravo to you all. And since this project was so satisfying and fun to do, I’ll say “Bravo to me” as well. Thanks!
